Xiaomi has revealed that the Mix Fold 3 will come equipped with an 8.02-inch foldable AMOLED display that offers a 2K resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and a peak brightness of 2,600 nits. According to Xiaomi founder and CEO Lei Jun, when a white image was continuously displayed on the internal screen at a brightness of 500 nits and the screen was kept on until it powered off, the Mix Fold 3 delivered an impressive battery life of 8 hours and 20 minutes, which is 52 percent longer compared to the previous generation.

The Mix Fold 3 boasts a battery life of 1.34 days, according to Xiaomi. This is achieved through the incorporation of a dual-cell battery system and Xiaomi Surge chips. The brand is yet to reveal the battery capacity of the device. However, previous reports have claimed that it will house a 4,800mAh battery with 67W wired and 50W wireless charging.

The Mix Fold 3 will be the company’s first foldable phone to feature a quad-camera unit with Leica’s optimizations. It will have a 50-megapixel main camera, but it is not clear whether it has the Sony IMX989 or IMX800 camera sensor as the primary snapper. The camera setup will also include a periscope telephoto camera.

One of the significant enhancements in the Mix Fold 3 is the incorporation of a new hinge technology. This innovation effectively contributes to improved durability, reduced screen creasing, and a lighter, thinner design compared to previous Mix Fold models.
