Ubisoft has just made an exciting announcement for its upcoming Assassin’s Creed title. The popular franchise’s latest entry has gone gold and will be released globally a week prior to its original launch date.

Assassin’s Creed Mirage will release on October 5

In a recent social media post, the gaming giant announced that Assassin’s Creed Mirage has gone gold, which means that it has received approval from companies like Sony and Microsoft. In other words, it is confirmed to be published on their respective PlayStation and Xbox consoles. This term also signifies the end of the main development and the start of the production stage.

Assassin's Creed Mirage Release

However, this isn’t the primary news since the company further added that the release of the game has been preponed by a week. As per the official announcement, “On behalf of the entire team, we can’t wait for you to explore 9th Century Baghdad with Basim. Your journey now starts on October 5. Save the new date!” This officially confirms the game’s new launch date, with the tweet also sharing a short teaser.

This move should be beneficial for Assassin’s Creed Mirage since it creates more space between other notable launches in the market. Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is set to launch on October 20, which means that it has enough time to ensure sales. However, it isn’t completely out of the waters yet, since it will be competing against Detective Pikachu, which is arriving a day later on October 6. Apart from this, Ubisoft will kick off Assassin’s Creed Jade’s closed beta this month, while AC “Red” is planned to launch in 2024.
