Realme is confirmed to launch the GT 5 smartphone in China on August 28. The brand has been teasing key specifications and features of the upcoming offering on the Chinese microblogging platform Weibo. Now, Realme has shared an official image of the smartphone clearly revealing its design of the back panel. The Realme GT 5 is expected to arrive as the successor to the GT 3 that debuted this year.

Realme GT 5 design officially revealed

Earlier today, we reported that Realme has partnered with BYD Electronics fo the ‘Miracle Glass’ on the GT 5. It is said to feature curved edges with a large hot forging surface area. With this, the company aims to challenge the industry’s glass technology.

The latest official images shared by Realme are indeed in line with a previously leaked render. The GT 5 has a dual-toned back panel with an elongated rectangular protruding Black color camera module at the top. The design looks similar to the recent Google Pixel smartphones except that it is bigger. The left side of the island has two rings with the upper housing a single sensor and the lower accommodating two lenses. We could spot the text that confirms support for PDAF and OIS. There is also a text that reads f/1.8G 24mm.

The right side of the camera module has a transparent glass window that seems to be larger than the GT 3. It has a Snapdragon logo and confirms the presence of a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor under the hood. A teaser video also revealed rectangular-shaped LED light strips at the same place which can change into different colors. The Realme GT 5 will arrive in a Flowing Silver Mirror color.

As per previous teasers, the Realme GT 5 is confirmed to arrive with up to 24GB RAM and 1TB storage. It will also feature superframe independent X7 display chip developed by PixelWorks for an enhanced visual experience.

We should learn official details of the Realme GT 5 on Monday.
