While We are still many months away from the Asus ROG Phone 8 lineup, the gaming phones have made their first online appearance on the IMEI database. GSMChina has spotted the possible Asus ROG Phone 8 series on the IMEI database. The new lineup could have three phones— ROG Phone 8, ROG Phone 8 Pro, and ROG Phone 8 Ultimate. While the database did not reveal any specifications of the phones, we do get to learn their model numbers. This could help in spotting the phones in other databases.

The publication notes the vanilla Asus ROG Phone 8 and the ROG Phone 8 Ultimate have the model number AI2401_A for the global market. The model number AI2401_C is said to represent versions of ROG Phone 8 and Ultimate models that will be sold in China or India. Lastly, the ROG Phone 8 Pro is identified by the model number AI2401_E.

The new gaming phones are expected to launch sometime next year, likely in the first quarter. Similar to their predecessors, the ROG Phone 8 models are expected to feature the latest Qualcomm flagship processor, which will be the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. These phones may also come equipped with gaming-centric features, such as AirTrigger ultrasonic air shoulder controls that support gestures like dual actions, press and lift, and gyroscope aiming.
