Galaxy Buds 2 Pro Firmware Update Improves Audio Quality and LE Audio Support
Samsung has released a new firmware update, R510XXU0AWF4, for the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro. Notably, the company didn’t just fix existing issues with this update; it also added new features to the year-old earbuds. Many people interpret this as a reflection of the value that Samsung places on its current users, which is a fair assessment. Very few companies other than Apple regularly update their products with software improvements. The fact that Samsung is one of them is a significant development for the industry. So what else does the update change?
The update improves the LE Audio capabilities of the earbuds, which means that they can now transmit audio over Bluetooth LE. This can be useful for reducing power consumption or for connecting to devices that do not support Bluetooth Classic. It also improves the audio quality of the earbuds, especially when listening to music or watching videos. This is thanks to the use of a new audio codec called Samsung Seamless Codec.
