A new leak might have hinted at some of the camera specifications of the upcoming Redmi K70 Pro. The smartphone model is expected to launch soon, but prior to any official announcement, some of its specs were leaked on Weibo (a Chinese microblogging website).
Redmi K70 Pro Camera Specs
The information arrives from a known tipster Digital Chat Station. In the social media post, the SM8650 (Codenamed Manet) will feature a 50-megapixel primary sensor. This camera will also be paired with a telephoto shooter that has a 3.2x optical zoom. For those unaware, the next-gen Redmi K series is expected to launch three models, which include the K70e, K70, and K70 Pro. These will reportedly carry the codenames, Ingress, Vermeer, and Manet respectively.
Based on what we know so far, the K70 Pro may be equipped with the Sony IMX707 sensor for the primary camera. Notably, the information is also in line with earlier reports from Digital Chat Station. The initial report claimed that the new smartphone will feature a metal frame and a telephoto shooter with 3x magnification.
Other notable features include Android 14 OS based MIUI 14 custom skin that will likely be upgraded to MIUI 15 soon after launch. The high-end Pro model is expected to feature a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC and may be powered by a massive 5,500mAh battery pack that could support 120W fast charging. Interestingly enough, the K70 may even be remodeled as the POCO F6 Pro for the global market.
