Motorola is planning to launch a new device from its existing Edge 40 series of smartphones. The upcoming model is the Edge 40 Neo. But ahead of its official release, the Edge 40 Neo’s battery specs and fast charging rates were revealed via a certification sighting.

The new smartphone model was spotted on the FCC certification database. In this online listing, the Moto Edge 40 Neo was seen carrying the XT2307-1 model number. Looking at the FCC certification, the device will be powered by a large 5,000mAh battery pack that has a QM50 model number. Furthermore, it was revealed that the Edge 40 Neo will come with 68W fast charging support.

Unfortunately, the FCC listing did not reveal any other details regarding this upcoming handset. Although, it did confirm that it supports 5G connectivity and NFC. Based on what we know so far, the Motorola Edge 40 Neo sports a 6.55-inch pOLED display that has a Full HD+ resolution and 144Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, this model is equipped with the MediaTek Dimensity 1050 SoC that is paired with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage.

The smartphone will run on Android 13 OS based MyUX custom skin out of the box. The rear offers a 50-megapixel dual camera setup, while the front houses a 32-megapixel selfie shooter. Motorola’s new Edge 40 Neo might offer IP68 water and dust resistance. This device will be available in multiple color options, which may include Black Beauty, Caneel Bay, and Soothing Sea.
