Last month, Redmi launched the Redmi 12 series smartphones in India breaking many records. The Redmi 12 5G recorded the highest day-one sale in India for a 5G smartphone, and combined with the 4G model, the series has sold more than 1 million units in the country. Due to high demand, the 4G model briefly went out of stock, however, it is now available to buy again on Flipkart.
Redmi 12 price & availability
The Redmi 12 has a starting price of Rs 9,999 for the 4GB RAM + 128GB storage variant. The 6GB RAM + 128GB storage model is going for 11,499. The phones are available in Pastel Blue, Moonstone Silver, and Jade Black color models, though it is worth mentioning that the Jade Black model with 4GB RAM and 128GB storage is currently out of stock.

The Redmi 12 4G features a 6.79-inch FHD+ display with a 90Hz refresh rate and Corning Gorilla Glass for durability. It runs on the MediaTek Helio G88 processor with Mali-G52 2EEMC2 GPU, up to 6GB LPDDR4X RAM, and 128GB storage with support for 6GB of virtual RAM.
The camera setup includes a 50MP primary camera, 8MP ultra-wide, and a 2MP macro sensor, along with an 8MP front camera. It houses a 5,000mAh battery with 18W fast charging, ensuring minimal downtime. Connectivity options encompass 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and USB Type-C.
The Redmi 12 4G boasts an IP53 rating for splash resistance, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for secure unlocking, and runs on Android 13-based MIUI 14 skin.
