Ubisoft has been developing a new Assassin’s Creed game codenamed Red, which is set in feudal Japan. The game has generated a lot of excitement among fans, and Tom Henderson from Insider-Gaming has now shared some new details about it. These include a focus on stealth and destructible environments.

Henderson says that AC Red will take inspiration from Splinter Cell, with players able to hide in shadows and use their environment to their advantage. The game will also feature destructible environments, which will allow players to cut or break through certain objects in order to sneak up on enemies. However, Henderson cautions that this destruction won’t be on the same scale as Battlefield, so don’t expect to be able to burst through solid walls.

In terms of story, AC Red will reportedly feature two playable characters: a male samurai and a female shinobi/ninja. The male character is said to be a refugee from Africa, and Henderson speculates that he could be based on the real-life figure Yasuke, one of the earliest documented Black samurai. The female character is said to be more agile than the male character, and she will likely specialize in stealth.

AC Red is rumored to launch in Holiday 2024. However, it’s worth noting that this is just a rumor for now, and Ubisoft has yet to officially announce the game. It will be interesting to see how these new details pan out, and whether AC Red can live up to the hype.

What do you think of these new details for Assassin’s Creed Red? Are you intrigued by the game’s focus on stealth and destructible environments? Or are you not feeling this entry in the franchise?
