Lava is set to announce a new smartphone in the Indian market. Now, ahead of the official announcement, Sunil Raina, President and Business Head at Lava has revealed that the upcoming offering is the Lava Blaze Pro 5G. The brand recently launched the Blaze 2 Pro 4G in the country. The Lava Blaze Pro 5G will arrive as the successor to the Blaze Pro that debuted in India in September last year.

Lava Blaze Pro 5G confirmed to launch in India

Neither Lava nor Sunil Raina have revealed the exact launch date and availability of the Blaze Pro 5G smartphone in India. The smartphone’s key specifications also remain unknown at the moment. However, the executive added that the company has lined up some amazing launches that will bring 5G phones within everybody’s reach. This means that we can expect the Lava Blaze Pro 5G to debut in the country in the coming weeks. 

Meanwhile, tipster Abhishek Yadav has shared some key details of the Lava Blaze Pro 5G. It will be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 6020 processor under the hood. The shared image reveals a boxy form factor and two protruding rings housing a 50MP main sensor, a secondary lens, and an LED flash unit. The back panel seems to have a gradient design and is seen in White/Silver color option. Yadav adds that the Lava Blaze Pro 5G will launch in India by the end of this month. It is expected to be priced under Rs 15,000 segment. 

The Lava Blaze 2 Pro has a 6.5-inch HD+ 90Hz display and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. It features a 50MP main sensor paired with two 2MP lenses. The device is equipped with a Unisoc T616 SoC coupled with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. It is backed by a 5,000mAh cell with support for 18W charging.
