Xiaomi launched a host of new devices today. It also silently announced the Redmi Note 13 that was not teased leading up to today’s event. The device is the base model in the Note 13 family and packs striped-down specifications compared to the Pro and Pro+ models. The latest generation Note 13 arrives as the successor to the last year’s Note 12 with incremental upgrades. Let’s take a look at it below. 

Redmi Note 13 specifications and features

The Redmi Note 13 retains the same 6.6-inch OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate from its pro siblings. It offers an FHD+ resolution, 1,000 nits peak brightness, and 1920Hz PWM dimming. The device has a centre-aligned punch-hole cutout and thin bezels surrounding the display. The smartphone has a boxy design and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner embedded in the power button. 

On the optics front, the Redmi Note 13 sports a square camera module on the back panel. It has a 108MP main sensor and a 2MP depth lens. For selfies, the device features a 16MP front snapper. The smartphone packs a host of camera features for enhancing the photography capabilities. 

In terms of hardware, the Redmi Note 13 runs on a MediaTek Dimensity 6080 processor. It is offered in multiple RAM and storage configurations up to 12GB and 256GB respectively. The smartphone draws its power from a 5,000mAh battery unit with support for 33W fast charging. Software-wise, it runs on Android 13 OS. 

The Redmi Note 13 starts at CNY 1,199 ($164) for the 6GB + 128GB option The 8GB + 128GB and 8GB + 256GB variants are priced at CNY 1,299 ($177) and CNY 1,499 ($205). The higher 12GB + 256GB configuration costs CNY 1,699 ($232). The smartphone is offered in Star Sand White, Midnight Dark, and Time Blue colors.
