The Oppo A79 5G model was spotted on various online databases that include the NBTC, TUV IMDA, FCC, and TUV Rheinland. Furthermore, the upcoming A79 5G has even appeared on the Camera FV5 website as well. Earlier this year, the Chinese tech giant released the Oppo A78 5G. So the A79 5G will likely be the successor to this handset. The NBTC listing reveals the Oppo A79 5G moniker, which carries the CPH2557 model number.

This is also confirmed by the IMDA and TUV Rheinland certifications. The latter also confirmed that the device will be powered by a 4,880mAh battery pack (likely rated as 5,000mAh) that supports 33W fast charging. The certifications also reveal the dimensions of the upcoming smartphone. The Oppo A79 5G will measure 165.61×76.02×7.99mm in dimensions and weigh 193 grams. The FCC listing confirms that it will run on Android 13 OS based ColorOS 13.1 out of the box.

Lastly, the Camera FV5 database lists the device with a 50-megapixel primary camera, which captures images in 12.5-megapixel resolution. This sensor also features an f/1.8 aperture. Meanwhile, the front houses an 8-megapixel selfie camera. Unfortunately, the processor and storage details are still at large. So stay tuned for more updates.
