Honor is reportedly working on a new model of the Honor X50 smartphone. The new model is said to be a “facelift” of the original X50, meaning that it will have minor cosmetic updates but will otherwise remain the same.

According to industry insider Digital Chat Station, the new Honor X50 will have a front design similar to the original X50, with a curved display and a centrally-aligned punch-hole cutout for selfies.

On the back, however, it will take design cues from the Huawei Mate X5—the company’s latest foldable. That is, the phone will have a futuristic-looking circular camera module protruding from the back panel, a departure from the ring-like camera cutout of the original model.

Otherwise, since the upcoming phone is a “facelift” model, it will have similar hardware specifications as the original model. This means the phone will have a 6.6-inch AMOLED display with a 1.5K pixel resolution, 1,200 nits peak brightness, and a 120Hz refresh rate. It will be powered by a Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 processor and will come with up to 16GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage.

As for the cameras, they will be led by the 108MP main sensor, accompanied by a 2MP secondary sensor. The front-facing camera is an 8MP sensor. Likewise, the device comes in four colors: Elegant Black, Sunshine Rain, Brown Blue, and Burning Orange.

However, Honor might offer different color variants for the new device. The Honor X50 currently has a starting price of CNY 1,399 in mainland China.
