For a bit of context, the freshly-released Google Pixel 8 comes with a 6.2-inch display, while the Pixel 8 Pro features a slightly larger 6.7-inch screen. Young’s tweet strongly suggests that Google is focusing on enlarging the display area for the Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, and even the next Pixel Fold. The news comes from Young’s latest “Advanced Smartphone Report,” a document that has previously proven to be accurate in predicting smartphone trends.
But why is Google opting for bigger displays? One possible answer is the growing demand for larger screens that facilitate a better multimedia experience.
