According to a recent report that has surfaced online, Samsung has started releasing an October Security update for the Galaxy Z Flip 3 smartphones.
For those unaware, the company released this smartphone in August 2021 with Android 11 pre-installed. The device was later upgraded to Android 12 in the same year and Android 13 in late 2022. The Galaxy Z Flip 3 is also highly expected to receive the One UI 6.0 update when it arrives.
The update is currently available to download on the Galaxy Z Flip 3 smartphones in limited countries. For example, Colombia, Guatemala, Panama, Peru, and Trinidad & Tobago. The patch arrives with a build version of F711BXXS6FWI1. It is worth mentioning that the patch is majorly focused on security and does not bring any UI improvements or new features. Samsung was able to fix major security vulnerabilities like the breaches where the breachers were able to execute harmful viruses through the Wi-Fi networks.
Furthermore, the October security update first landed on the Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Galaxy Z Fold 5 and is slowly making its way to other smartphones as well. Those who are eligible for the update can head over to Settings > Software Update > Download and Install. The company has yet to reveal when the patch will be available for other countries. However, we expect the other countries to receive the update soon. So stay tuned.
