In July, Honor unveiled the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1-powered Honor X50 in China. It appears that the Honor X9b heading to the global market could be a rebranded version of the X50. The reason behind it is that the X9b was spotted with the same chipset, RAM, and Android version as the X50 in Geekbench recently.

To recall, the Honor X50 has a 6.78-inch AMOLED screen with a 1220 x 2652 pixel resolution, a 19.5:9 aspect ratio, and an in-screen fingerprint scanner. The device is available with Magic OS 7.1-based Android 13, the SDG61 SoC, up to 16 GB of RAM, and up to 512 GB of storage. It packs a 5,800mAh battery that supports 35W wired charging and 6W reverse charging. Its camera setup includes an 8-megapixel front camera and a 108-megapixel main camera paired with a 2-megapixel macro lens on the back.

Apart from Malaysia, the X9b is expected to be released in other markets like Singapore and the UAE. The company is also planning to launch a new phone in India before the end of this year. It is unclear whether the X9b will arrive as the second phone of the year after the Honor 90 in the Indian market.
