The new Yamaha Y-01W all-wheel-drive (AWD) electric bike concept has been teased. This is coming ahead of the official unveiling of the new Yamaha concept e-bike at the Japan Mobility Show 2023. The e-bike has twin electric motors and batteries for added power and range.

The Yamaha Y-01W AWD is an adventure bike that is styled as an SUV with its AWD architecture. The new concept e-bike is designed for off-road riding and has a dual-engine setup. One of the electric motors drives the rear wheel and is mounted in the middle of the frame. The second hub motor is located on the front wheel. The combined motor’s output is coordinated electronically while the pair of 500Wh batteries deliver an extended range for the e-bike.

The new Yamaha AWD e-bike concept has Pirelli Scorpion Enduro tires for excellent rides in various terrains. A KYB suspension system is also featured in the e-bike, together with LED lights, and multiple handlebar options. The Renthal Fatbar and triathlon handles are among the handlebar options for the Yamaha Y-01W AWD concept. There are no indications yet on the array of tech features although it seems to lack an in-built display.

There are still a few optics not clear about the Yamaha Y-01W AWD e-bike including its launch date. The Japan Mobility Show 2023 kicks off on October 25 and we expect more details to trickle in about the new Yamaha concept AWD e-bike. Key among these details are the overall range and top speed of the e-bike.
