AMD recently announced its fastest-ever GPU for a laptop called the Radeon RX 7900M. Now, Dell has announced Alienware M18 will be the first laptop to host this powerhouse of a GPU. Before we delve into the details about the laptop, here are a few things that make the RX 7900M GPU special.

Alienware M18

According to AMD, the RX 7900M boasts superior performance when compared to the Nvidia RTX 4080 mobile GPU, with an average frame rate advantage of 7% and a substantial 27% boost in titles like Starfield. However, this enhanced performance comes at the cost of higher power consumption, as the RX 7900M can draw up to 180 watts, while the RTX 4080 mobile operates at a more conservative 110 watts. Additionally, the RX 7900M is equipped with AMD’s FidelityFX Super Resolution (FSR 3) upscaling technology, which significantly enhances frame rates in various games.
