Tecno is gearing up to launch a new Pop-branded smartphone named the Tecno Pop 8 in India. Ahead of the expected launch, the entry-level has already been listed on the official website. Tecno Pop 8 specifications
As per the official listing, the Tecno Pop 8 features a 6.6-inch LCD display with an HD+ resolution of 720 x 1612 pixels and a 90Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, it is powered by the Unisoc T606 chip and up to 4 GB of RAM.
The Pop 8 packs a 5,000mAh battery that supports 10W charging via a USB-C port. The phone runs on the Android 13 Go edition, which has a layer of HiOS on top. It will also feature the company’s self-developed Dynamic Port feature, which shows notifications akin to the Dynamic Island feature available on iPhones.
The Tecno Pop 8 is equipped with an 8-megapixel front camera with dual flash. On the back, the device will have a 13-megapixel primary camera, an AI camera, and a dual flash. The device will arrive with up to 128 GB of internal storage and feature a microSD card slot for more storage. While the weight of the device is not known yet, the Pop 8 measures 163.69 x 75.6 x 8.55mm in dimensions.
Tecno Pop 8 variants, price (rumored)
Tecno has already confirmed that the Pop 8 will arrive in three variants, such as:
- 64GB storage + 3GB RAM + 3GB virtual RAM
- 64GB storage + 4GB RAM + 4GB virtual RAM
- 128GB storage + 4GB RAM + 4GB virtual RAM
The Pop 8 will be available in four colors, such as Mystery White, Alpenglow Gold, Magic Skin (leather back), and Gravity Black. As per a leak by tipster Paras Guglani, the device will have a starting price of Rs 6,999 (~$84).
