China’s 3C regulatory body has given the green light to two upcoming Vivo smartphones, identified by the model numbers V2307A and V2329A. These models appear to be part of Vivo’s sub-brand, the iQOO 12 series, since the Vivo X100 and X100 Pro have also obtained 3C certification. Here is a look at the specifics revealed through this certification.

Yesterday, a live image of the standard iQOO 12 emerged on Weibo, providing insights into its key specifications, including the V2307A model number. Hence, the V2307A variant that has been approved by the Chinese authority is the iQOO 12, whereas the V2329A device seems to be the iQOO 12 Pro.

The Vivo charger with V12060L0A0-CN / V12060L1H0-CN / V12060L1A0-CN / V12060L1H1-CN model number can be seen in the 3C listing of the iQOO 12 and 12 Pro supports 120W fast charging. Reports have revealed that the iQOO 12 Pro will support 50W wireless charging, whereas the iQOO 12 will lack support for it. Reports have revealed that the iQOO 12 will have a 5,000mAh battery, whereas the Pro variant will house a 5,100mAh battery.

In the past, iQOO provided 200W fast charging for previous models like the iQOO 11 Pro and iQOO 10 Pro. However, with the 3C certification of the iQOO 12 series, it is evident that iQOO has chosen not to include 200W charging for the iQOO 12 Pro model. It appears that iQOO may issue a statement explaining why it removed 200W fast charging from the iQOO 12 series, despite offering it in the previous two generations, which allowed for a full charge in around 15 minutes.

The Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset will power the iQOO 12 and 12 Pro. The series will be equipped with up to 2K resolution OLED display with support for a 144Hz refresh rate, a dedicated Q1 display processor, an OV50H 50-megapixel main camera + 50-megapixel JN1 ultra-wide lens + OV64B periscope zoom triple camera unit, and OriginOS 4-based Android 14. Both phones will come in colors like white (glass back with BMW stripes), black (glass back), and red (leather back).
