Last week, Xiaomi unveiled HyperOS at the Xiaomi 14 series launch event. The company is following in the footsteps of Huawei by bringing all of its software under a single branding.
Thus, smartphones and tablets eligible for MIUI 15 will now receive HyperOS instead. Over the last few days, HyperOS builds for eligible devices started appearing on Xiaomi servers.
Today, the builds for Redmi Note 12 were spotted. Let’s go through the details.
According to Xiaomiui, the initial HyperOS builds for the Redmi Note 12 is live on Xiaomi servers. The update is available for both the regular and NFC variants of the handset.
Currently, the software release is live for the Global, India, and EEA regional versions of the phone. They carry the following build numbers.
- Redmi Note 12
- Global – OS1.0.0.13.UMTMIXM
- India – OS1.0.0.3.UMTINXM
- Redmi Note 12 NFC
- Global – OS1.0.0.7.UMGMIXM

These software builds will be initially made available for beta testers. Following that, depending on the stability, they will be rolled out to the general public or a new build will be released with fixes.
The HyperOS global rollout is said to begin in the first quarter of 2023. So the update for Redmi Note 12 is months away from the public rollout.
