Earlier this month, Oppo launched the Oppo A2 5G smartphone in its domestic market in China. What made this device attractive is the fact that it is the most affordable device with a 512GB storage option. Now, the smartphone has officially been made available to purchase in the country. Starting today, the device is officially available to purchase in China in three color options: Black, Green, and Violet. Interested consumers can make their purchases through Oppo’s official website and JD.com. The Oppo A2 is presented in two storage configurations: 12GB+256GB, priced at CNY 1,699 (~$233), and 12GB+512GB, available for CNY 1,799 (~$247).

The Oppo A2 5G features a 6.72-inch LCD punch-hole screen with a 2400×1080 resolution, a 90Hz refresh rate, and a 180Hz touch sampling rate. It achieves a maximum brightness of 680 nits with Panda Glass display protection. Camera-wise, it includes an 8-megapixel front camera and a 50-megapixel rear camera with a Samsung S5KJN1 sensor, accompanied by a 2-megapixel B/W lens. The device packs a 5,000mAh battery with 33W fast charging and runs on ColorOS 13.2-based Android 13, featuring a side-facing fingerprint scanner.
Powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6020 SoC, it features LPDDRx memory and UFS 2.2 flash memory, along with a superconducting thermal graphite plate for heat dissipation.
Connectivity options encompass Wi-Fi 5, a USB-C port, stereo dual speakers, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Notably, the Oppo A2 5G holds an IP54 rating for dustproof and waterproof protection.
