HIGOLE has released the GOLE 2 Pro, a compact mini PC with a 5.5-inch touchscreen display. This pocket-sized device is slightly larger than two stacked smartphones, measuring 142 x 91 x 19 millimeters. Despite its small size, it functions as a full-fledged PC and can run desktop operating systems such as Windows 11 and Ubuntu.

The GOLE 2 Pro features an Intel Celeron N5105 quad-core processor with 15-watt power, an improvement over the previous model’s Intel Gemini Lake architecture, using the newer Jasper Lake architecture. While this processor can handle basic tasks and 4K video playback effectively, it may not be suitable for demanding applications like AAA gaming or intensive video editing due to its low-cost, low-power design.

The device comes with 16GB LPDD4 of RAM and offers storage options of 256GB or 512GB of solid-state storage. It includes an M.2 2280 slot that supports PCIe 3.0 x2 NVMe solid-state storage, an upgrade from the slower eMMC storage of earlier models. The device also features a 5.5-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels, offering versatility for functions such as status display and full touchscreen control.

In terms of connectivity, the mini PC includes a full-function USB Type-C, another USB Type-C for power, HDMI, four USB 3.0 Type-A, Gigabit Ethernet, a 3.5mm audio jack, and a microSD card reader. It also supports dual displays via the USB-C and HDMI ports, enhancing its versatility. The device also supports WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2.

The pricing of GOLE 2 Pro starts at $259 for the base variant while the model with internal battery starts at $289. The models are now up for pre-order, with shipping scheduled to begin in December 2023. It is primarily available for purchase on the GOLE Mini PC store and is expected to become available on Amazon and other e-commerce stores as well.
