Earlier this month, iQOO unveiled the iQOO 12 and iQOO 12 Pro flagship phones featuring the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipsets in China. Reports have claimed that the brand could be planning to launch the Neo 9 and Neo 9 Pro sub-flagship phones in the coming month (December) in China. Here are the new details of the Neo 9 lineup that have been leaked by reliable tipster Digital Chat Station.

According to DCS, the display of the iQOO Neo 9 and Neo 9 Pro will produce a 1.5K resolution. A previous leak by the same tipster revealed both phones will be equipped with a 6.78-inch OLED punch-hole display with a flat design. The above image, which was released by the tipster last week, revealed the front and rear design of the Neo 9 series.

The leaker claimed that the iQOO Neo 9 series will have a 50-megapixel Sony IMX9820 primary camera with OIS support. However, he did not mention anything about the auxiliary cameras on both smartphones. Like the iQOO 12 series, the Neo 9 models are expected to ship with OriginOS 4-based Android 14. The Neo 9 series is tipped to pack a 5,000mAh battery and support 120W fast charging.

The Neo 9 series will arrive as a successor to the Neo 8 and Neo 8 Pro, which came equipped with the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 and Dimensity 9200 chipsets, respectively. The new leaks claim that the Neo 9 will have the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip, whereas the Neo 9 Pro will have the Dimensity 9300 SoC.

The tipster added that the iQOO will also launch a new tablet featuring the Dimensity 9300. It is likely that the device will be dubbed the iQOO Pad 2 and will arrive as a successor to the Dimensity 9000+-powered iQOO Pad, which was announced earlier this year.  It is not clear whether iQOO will announce the iQOO Pad 2 with the Neo 9 series or launch it in the coming year.
