Xiaomi launched the Pad 6 series tablets earlier this year. Now, the company is reportedly working on the successor model, the Pad 7 series. The Xiaomi Pad 7 Pro, one of the models in the upcoming series, has reportedly been spotted in a Mi Code by the folks over at GSMChina.

According to the outlet, the Xiaomi Pad 7 Pro is codenamed “sheng,” which means a musical instrument in Chinese. This is in line with Xiaomi’s tradition of using musical instrument names as codenames for its Pad series tablets.

The device carries the model number “N81A” and features a 10-inch panel manufactured by Tianma. The Xiaomi Pad 7 Pro is expected to feature an LCD panel with a resolution of 1480×2367 and a 144Hz refresh rate. This is a change in screen size compared to the 11-inch display of the previous generation Pad 6 Pro.

The Xiaomi Pad 7 Pro is rumored to be powered by the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, aligning with earlier leaks from Digital Chat Station.

Additionally, GSMChina suggests that the tablet will feature a quad-stereo speaker system, similar to its predecessor, the Pad 6 Pro. The Xiaomi Pad 7 Pro is also expected to run on Android 14-based HyperOS.

GSMChina further reports that the Xiaomi Pad 7 Pro may be exclusive to the Chinese market, similar to its predecessor, the Pad 6 Pro.

There’s no official confirmation regarding the Xiaomi Pad 7 series, so treat this information with caution. We will continue to provide updates on the Xiaomi Pad 7 Pro as more information becomes available.
