Redmi has a launch event slated for later today where the brand will be unveiling the Redmi K70 series smartphones. The launch event will be held in China and will include many other products besides the new smartphones. One of these is the Redmi Book 16 (2024) laptop, which was previously teased to feature a 13th Gen Intel CPU. Now, more details about the laptop have been confirmed right ahead of the launch.

According to the company’s announcement, the upcoming Redmi Book 16 (2024) boasts a sleek full metal body, measuring an impressively thin 15.9 mm and weighing a mere 1.68 Kg. The laptop is equipped with a high-resolution 2.5K display featuring a speedy 120 Hz refresh rate, 400 nits peak brightness, and TÜV Rheinland Hardware Level Low Blue Light certification to ensure eye comfort.

To address heat dissipation, the Redmi Book 16 incorporates dual fans and dual 8mm heat pipes. Powering this device is a substantial 72Wh battery, providing an impressive 16 hours of local video playback. The laptop will be accompanied by a 100W GaN adapter for efficient charging.

Under the hood, the Redmi Book 16 will be driven by the Core i5-13500H processor, boasting 12 cores and 16 threads with a turbo boost frequency of up to 4.70 GHz. The device will also boast flagship-level LPDDR5 6400MT/s memory.
