Realme has just unveiled its latest offering, the Realme GT 5 Pro smartphone in China, featuring the cutting-edge Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset and running on the Android 14-based Realme UI 5.0. Excitingly, the GT 2 Pro is also on the radar for this update, with Realme kicking off the rollout of the Realme UI 5.0 open beta build for this smartphone. Open Beta Program known issues

For those eager to explore Android 14 before the official release, the Open Beta program offers a preview. However, be cautious, as bugs may be part of the experience.

  • When using floating windows, sliding the desktop may not work. You can fix this by pulling down the status bar.
  • Glance Lock-screen is not available in realme UI 5.0 Early Access; it will be introduced in future updates.

How to apply

The application channel opens on December 7, 2023. Applications will be accepted in batches. Follow the steps below to apply for Open Beta:

1. Ensure your realme GT 2 Pro has at least 60% battery.

2. Update your device to the required UI version (RMX3301_13.1.0.503 (EX01)).

3. Enable Developer Mode (Settings > About device > Version > Version Number > Tap version number seven times).

4. Apply for Open Beta via the Software Update Application channel (Settings > About device > Click on the “realme UI 4.0” banner at the top > Click on the three dots in the top right corner > Beta program > Open Beta > Apply Now > Submit your details and complete the application).
