The Realme GT 5 Pro went off on its first sale at 10 am (local time) in China today. Soon after making it available for purchase, Realme confirmed that the Realme GT 5 Pro achieved a remarkable sales milestone by surpassing the first sales record for all new Realme products in 2023 within just 5 minutes. Notably, its initial sales outpaced the total sales of the Realme GT 2 Pro during the first three months. To recall, the device was announced on Dec. 7 in China.

In China, the Realme GT 5 Pro comes in various configurations: 12GB+256GB, 16GB+256GB, 16GB+512GB, and 16GB+1TB. These variants are priced at 3,399 Yuan (~$479), 3,699 Yuan (~$521), 3,999 Yuan (~$563), and 4,299 Yuan (~$605). The initial sale of the device offers a 100 Yuan ($14) discount. Buyers can avail of the GT 5 Pro in shades like Red Rock, Bright Moon, and Starry Night.

The Realme GT 5 Pro is also expected to be released in the global market. The global launch teasers for the device may likely surface in January or February 2024. Here is a look at the specifications of the GT 5 Pro.

The Realme GT 5 Pro has a curved-edge 6.78-inch BOE OLED display that offers a 1.5K resolution of 2780 x 1260 pixels, a high 144Hz refresh rate, 4,500 nits of peak brightness, and an in-screen fingerprint sensor. It has a 32-megapixel front-facing camera, and its back panel has an OIS-enabled 50-megapixel main sensor, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom.

Under the hood, the GT 5 Pro features the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, complemented by a 5,400mAh battery, LPDDR5x RAM, and UFS 4.0. The device supports 100W wired charging and 50W wireless charging. The GT 5 Pro is equipped with other features, such as Realme UI 5-based Android 14, dual stereo speakers, a 12,000mm² heat dissipation unit, a large X-axis linear motor, and an IP64-rated chassis with an aluminium alloy frame.
