iQOO has just confirmed that the iQOO Neo 9 series, the iQOO Watch, and the iQOO TWS 1e earbuds will be unveiled on Dec. 27 in China. Now, a leak that has surfaced on Weibo has revealed the key specifications of the Neo 9 and Neo 9 Pro. Here is a look at what to expect from both models.

According to a Chinese leaker, the iQOO Neo 9 and Neo 9 Pro smartphones could showcase a substantial 6.78-inch flat OLED display that offers a 1.5K resolution (1260p). Other reports have claimed that both models will support a 144Hz refresh rate, like the Neo 8 series. Powering these devices could be the Q1 chip, a self-developed chip by iQOO for enhanced graphics performance.

On the battery front, both the Neo 9 and Neo 9 Pro are rumored to house a 5,160mAh battery, complemented by 120W fast charging. Both smartphones are expected to come in LPDDR5x RAM and UFS 4.0 storage combinations, such as 12GB+256GB, 16GB+256GB, 16GB+512GB, and 16GB+1TB. The Neo 9 will feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip, whereas the Neo 9 Pro will have the more powerful Dimensity 9300 SoC.

For selfies, the iQOO Neo 9 and Neo 9 Pro will have a 16-megapixel front camera. Meanwhile, the rear camera setup for the Neo 9 is rumored to feature an OIS-enabled Sony IMX920 50-megapixel primary lens coupled with an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens. On the other hand, the Neo 9 Pro might showcase a dual 50-megapixel configuration, comprising an OIS-assisted Sony IMX920 for the primary lens and the Samsung JN1 for the ultra-wide lens.

Other notable features of the iQOO Neo 9 series include an in-display fingerprint sensor, an IR blaster, dual speakers, an X-axis linear motor, and a plastic middle frame for added durability. The Neo 9 duo is expected to run on Android 14 with the OriginOS 4 user interface, offering users the latest software experience. Additionally, the color options for these smartphones are rumored to include black, blue, and a red-white dual-tone variant.
