Xiaomi introduced its new in-house operating system, HyperOS, during the Xiaomi 14 series launch event in late October. Following the announcement, the company began rolling out the latest OS update to its smartphones in China.

Now, the company has finally shared the global rollout plan. It took nearly two months for Xiaomi to reveal the details of the global release of the HyperOS custom skin.

HyperOS Global rollout plan

Xiaomi officially confirmed the global availability of HyperOS through its MIUI account, now renamed Xiaomi HyperOS, on X/Twitter. The announcement states that HyperOS will be rolled out to select Xiaomi and Redmi devices in the first quarter of 2024. The devices included in the rollout plan are as follows:

While the list includes Xiaomi and Redmi smartphones, you may have noticed it notably excludes any mention of Poco smartphones.

Worry not! The POCO Global account on X/Twitter has reassured Poco users that the Poco F5 will be the first Poco device to receive the HyperOS update. And, its release appears imminent. Although the exact launch date remains under wraps, Poco promised to share information for other devices later.

Xiaomi’s initial global rollout plan for HyperOS includes only a handful of relatively new smartphones. Thus, owners of older Xiaomi, Redmi, and Poco phones will have to wait for their turn for the HyperOS update. While they won’t be experiencing HyperOS right away, the fact that Xiaomi is now finally preparing for the global rollout of HyperOS is undoubtedly good news.
