Tecno has officially teased a new smartphone that will be launching in India soon. The Tecno Pop 8 is set to launch in the region soon, but a new leak also hints at its performance and front design. So here are all the details.

The smartphone maker took to X (formerly Twitter) to tease the upcoming Tecno Pop 8. This model is a budget level smartphone. In the short video teaser, the company confirms that the Pop 8 will be arriving in the Indian market. For those unaware, the device had previously launched in the global markets earlier this year. The Pop 8 is also the direct successor to the Pop 7.

A separate report from 91Mobiles has hinted at the performance of the Pop 8. The live image shared showcases the front design of the device, which features a center aligned punch hole cutout and some notable bezels. However, the more notable aspect of the picture is the AnTuTu score, with the handset receiving 240,205 points in the benchmark. According to sources close to the matter, Tecno is set to launch the Pop 8 in India soon.

To recall, the Tecno Pop 8 sports a 6.6-inch HD+ display that has a 90Hz refresh rate and an 8-megapixel selfie shooter on the front. Meanwhile, the rear features a 13-megapixel dual camera setup. Under the hood, it is equipped with the UNISOC T606 processor that is paired with up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. A large 5,000mAh battery pack powers this device, which supports standard 10W charging. Other notable features include Android 13 Go, dual speakers, side mounted fingerprint scanner, virtual RAM expansion, and more.
