OnePlus is expected to announce the OnePlus Ace 3 on Jan. 4, 2024, in China, although official confirmation of the launch date is still pending. Despite the suspense surrounding the launch date, OnePlus has offered a sneak peek into the device’s design through a teaser video, unveiling an appealing Sand Gold color variant.

The video highlights the rear design of the OnePlus Ace 3, showcasing a circular camera module. On the right side, there is a volume rocker and a power key, while the left edge incorporates an alert slider. The top edge of the Ace 3 appears to house a microphone, an IR blaster, and a speaker hole. Notably, the teaser refrains from revealing the front design of the smartphone, and as of now, OnePlus has not provided any official details regarding the device’s specifications.

As per reports, the OnePlus Ace 3 will feature a 6.78-inch curved-edge OLED screen that offers a 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. For security, it will have an in-screen fingerprint scanner, and it will run on ColorOS 14-based Android 14.

The Ace 3 will feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, 12 GB / 16 GB of LPDDR5x RAM, 256 GB / 512 GB / 1 TB of UFS 4.0 storage, and a 5,500mAh battery with 100W charging. On the front, it will have a 16-megapixel selfie camera, and its back panel is said to feature an OIS-enabled IMX890 50-megapixel primary camera, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 2-megapixel macro camera. It is likely to arrive with a starting price of 3,299 Yuan (~$460).

The Ace 3 will launch with the OnePlus 12R moniker in the global market on Jan. 23. The said event is to see the arrival of the OnePlus 12 and some other devices.
