Honor unveiled the Honor X40 GT in October 2022 in China. Several reports have claimed that the brand is working on its successor edition, the Honor X50 GT, for the Chinese market. A new development suggests that it may debut in January 2024.

In the latest Weibo post by Raul Wei Xiaolong, the Honor GT-series product manager confirms the Honor X50 GT moniker. He assures that the upcoming X50 GT will not disappoint, suggesting that it will build on the positive reputation of the Honor X50, which was announced in July this year.

He added that the device will be launching soon, suggesting that it may break cover in January 2024. It is unclear whether it will launch with the Magic 6 series of flagship phones, which are set to debut on Jan. 10 and Jan. 11.
