Tesla has officially announced the commencement of the Cybertruck national tour, set to roll through 8 major cities in China, including Shanghai and Beijing. Scheduled to begin at the end of January 2024, this tour will simultaneously unveil eight Cybertrucks. It’s a move by Tesla to boost brand awareness and showcase its unique electric pickup to a wider audience.

8 Cybertrucks will be unveiled simultaneously in Shanghai, Beijing, Shenzhen, Chengdu, Nanjing, Hangzhou, Xi’an, and Chongqing

While Tesla had temporarily suspended Cybertruck orders in 2022, offering only an option to “get updates” on its official website, the upcoming national tour presents an opportunity for potential buyers and enthusiasts to witness the Cybertruck in person.

The distinctive design of the Cybertruck, with its stainless steel body and unconventional size, has raised questions about its legality on Chinese roads, a concern previously acknowledged by Tesla CEO Elon Musk. Nevertheless, the tour serves as a strategic move to elevate the brand’s visibility and create a buzz around its groundbreaking electric vehicle.

The Cybertruck made its debut four years ago and saw its first deliveries on December 1, 2023, at the Austin Gigafactory in Texas, USA. With multiple variants on offer, including the rear-wheel-drive version starting at $60,990 (437,000 yuan), the all-wheel-drive model at $79,990 (~574,000 yuan), and the high-performance beast version priced at $99,999 (~717,000 yuan), Tesla aims to cater to diverse consumer preferences. Each variant boasts impressive specifications, from acceleration times to top speeds, making the Cybertruck a compelling choice for electric vehicle enthusiasts.

In terms of features, the Cybertruck offers a spacious and tech-savvy interior, featuring an expansive 18.5-inch touchscreen in the front and a 9.4-inch touchscreen in the rear. The innovative user interface, wireless mobile phone charging pad, 65W USB-C interface, and 120V/240V socket further enhance the overall driving experience.
