In honor of its 25th anniversary, FUJIFILM India unveils the Instax Pal, a compact digital camera designed for a younger audience. This marks the debut of the first all-digital Instax camera in the company’s lineup. This camera was earlier launched in some global markets back in September.

Setting it apart from earlier models, the Instax Pal intentionally excludes a built-in printing feature, reducing the overall size of the camera. This design enhances portability, making it an excellent companion for on-the-go photography without losing the charm of instant photography. While lacking inbuilt printing, the camera maintains its connection to the INSTAX legacy by supporting external Instax printers, such as the mini Link 2, letting users print digital captures on INSTAX film.

Equipped with a 1/5-inch CMOS sensor and a primary color filter, the camera ensures vivid and clear images. It features a wide-angle lens accessible through its Standard Mode, enabling users to capture expansive scenes with intricate details surpassing standard smartphone cameras. Some interesting features include a Remote Mode, facilitated by Bluetooth and the accompanying app, allowing for remote selfies and group photos. The Interval Mode captures photos at set intervals, perfect for dynamic sequences or time-lapse photography.

the camera can hold up to 50 photos internally, with expandable storage via a microSD slot. Compatibility with the INSTAX Link Printer Series offers users the option to print in various sizes. The camera’s design is complemented by a detachable ring serving as a stand or grip, available in five colors: Gem Black, Powder Pink, Pistachio Green, Lavender Blue, and Milky White.

Pricing & availability

Priced at Rs. 10,999, the INSTAX Pal is available in five appealing colors: Gem Black, Powder Pink, Pistachio Green, Lavender Blue, and Milky White. It can be purchased at FUJIFILM India’s retail outlets and on their website. Customers outside of India can find the camera retailing for under $200 paired with the mini Link 2 printer.
