The Motorola Edge 30 Ultra debuted way back in 2022 in the global markets. It shipped with Android 12 OS out of the box. The smartphone was updated to Android 13 last year. Now, the Edge 30 Ultra is getting another major OS update. The device is now receiving the latest Android 14 OS. Read on to know the details.

Motorola Edge 30 Ultra starts getting Android 14

Motorola is rolling out the Android 14 update to the Edge 30 Ultra users in Latin America and Europe. The software update has a firmware build number U1SQ34.52-21-1. It is rolling out over-the-air and the download file weighs 1.45GB in size. It’s recommended to download the update over WiFi or stable network connectivity.

The update is released in a phased manner and hence it should take time to reach all Edge 30 Ultra units. Additionally, the Android 14 update should also expand to the smartphone in other markets. Users can manually check for the update by heading to Settings > System Updates > Check for updates.

The Android 14 update on the Motorola Edge 30 Ultra brings various new features and improvements. There are new monochrome themes with additional color options, new system fonts, a detailed battery settings page, improved privacy and security, the ability to use the phone as a webcam, and more.

Last month, Motorola already confirmed the list of eligible devices set to get the Android 14 update. The Edge 30 Ultra is the latest from the list. Previously, the Lenovo-owned brand rolled out the OS update to the G53, Edge+ 2023, and Edge 40 Pro smartphones.
