Ola Electric launched the S1 X electric scooter back in 2023. The company has now unveiled an upgraded version of the S1 X with an extended range, thanks to its bigger 4kWh battery. Ola is also offering extended warranty programs for the battery of the new S1 X 4kWh. The new battery offers up to 190km of range on a single charge.

Ola Electric is a major player in the Indian electric two-wheeler market. It has continued to churn out new and innovative models and the revised S1 X is another evidence of the brand’s strategy. As more and more variants of the Ola S1 electric scooters are being introduced to the market, the company says it is also expanding its infrastructure. Ola Electric will increase its service centers in India by 50% with a target of having more than 600 service centers by April 2024.

Ola Electric is also improving its charging network, with 10,000 stations to be available by June 2024. There are also improvements to the charging technology, with the new chargers offering about 75% faster charging than home chargers. They are claimed to provide up to 31 miles of range with just 20 minutes of charging.

Ola Electric S1 X

Ola Electric says its new fast chargers can be purchased for home use and it is priced at Rs. 29,999 ($360). Ola Electric is also offering a standard warranty program for its battery that covers up to 8 years or 80,000km whichever comes first. The warranty can be extended to 100,00km at a price of Rs. 4,999 ($60) or 125,000km for Rs. 12,999 ($157).

The Ola S1 X is available in multiple two-tone colorways and industry watchers are staking that the scooter could soon export to other markets outside the subcontinent. The S1 X has a top speed of 90km/h and comes with a 4kWh battery. It can run from 0 to 40km/h in 3.3 seconds but omits some premium features of the top models in the S1 X lineup like the S1 X+. The S1 X new version is priced affordably at Rs. 109,999 ($1,325).
