Earlier this week, Honor announced a launch event scheduled for March 18. While the primary focus is expected to be on new smartphone releases, the company has also confirmed the debut of the Honor Band 9 and a new Honor Watch during the event.
The company teased the wearable launch via the Honor Mall app. The teaser shows that the Honor Band 9’s design will resemble its predecessor. It has a rectangular dial that fuses with the strap. There’s not much detail the company has shared about it though.
However, the fitness tracker has recently been certified by the Bluetooth SIG (Special Interest Group) certification body. Band 9 is listed under model numbers RHE-B39 and RHE-B19 and the listing confirms the inclusion of Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity support.
Further, the Honor Band 9 has been listed on the device pairing page of the Honor Sports and Health App with the description “fashionable health bracelet.” Based on this, we can expect that the Honor Band 9 will likely emphasize design elements and advanced health monitoring capabilities.
Beyond the Honor Band 9, Honor has also teased the launch of a new Honor Watch at the March 18 event. Specific details about both wearables remain scarce.
The complete list of expected product launches on March 18 includes:
- Honor Magic6 RSR|Porsche Design
- Honor Magic6 Ultimate Edition
- Honor MagicBook Pro 16
- Honor Band 9
- New Honor Watch
Additional details on the design, features, and pricing of the Honor Band 9 and the new Honor Watch will likely be revealed at the launch event.
