Earlier this year, Oppo debuted its flagship Find X7 Ultra smartphone in its domestic Chinese market. While the phone hasn’t been officially released globally, DxOMark, a commercial benchmarking company based in France, conducted camera system tests on the device, ranking it as the top performer in the ultra-premium category.

The Oppo Find X7 Ultra got a total score of 157 on DxOMark’s camera test, which has it tied up with the Huawei Mate 60 Pro+ for the number one position. The device outperforms all competition in criteria like Bokeh photography (85 points), telephoto zoom (118 points), and visual noise in video mode (119 points).

As per the reviewers, the Oppo Find X7 Ultra excelled in portrait capture, offering natural colors and high detail in various conditions. Equipped with a 50MP main camera featuring a large 1″ sensor, it delivers natural-looking images with low noise. Its dual periscope tele zoom cameras offer exceptional detail from 3x to 6x zoom and beyond. Bokeh images in portrait mode show accurate subject isolation and vibrant colors. Despite not using HDR in video, it produces excellent output with accurate exposure and wide dynamic range.

Testers found it ideal for capturing vivid colors and natural skin tones, freezing motion effectively. In low light, it performs impressively with revealing shadow detail and minimal noise, matching the low noise levels of the iPhone 15 Pro Max in both photo and video.
