Tech giant Apple unveiled its latest retail store in Shanghai tonight – the Apple Jing’an store. Tim Cook, Apple’s CEO, himself graced the grand opening, officially pulling the curtain back on this gorgeous building. More stores for Apple means more PR, and in a big economy like Shanghai, that can mean a lot more sales than usual.

This store has a reported investment of more than 83.4 million yuan.

Located near the iconic Jing’an Temple and Park, Apple Jing’an boasts a prime location in the heart of Shanghai. This isn’t just any store – with a reported investment exceeding 83.4 million yuan, it claims the prestigious title of second-largest Apple retail store globally, surpassed only by the flagship store on New York’s Fifth Avenue. This makes it not just the biggest Apple store in Asia, but also the 8th in Shanghai and the 57th across Greater China.

The stunning new store boasts a spacious public square and a seamless connection to the Jing’an Temple subway station, ensuring easy access for those interested. To celebrate this grand opening, Apple even created a special logo for the store, drawing inspiration from Shanghai’s city flower, the magnolia.
