Nothing has issued a new update for the Nothing Phone (1) called Nothing OS 2.5.3.A. The main objective of this update is to squash some annoying bugs that have appeared on the Nothing Phone (1) as of late.
The update addresses several critical issues, such as fixing flickering problems when editing or viewing lock screen widgets, solving text message sending failures in certain cases, eliminating fingerprint unlocking flickers on the AOD, and correcting blurry thumbnails in the Media Player widget, specifically during Spotify playback.
This update introduces a Recorder widget for easy audio recording access, optimizes widget and app-opening animations for smoother operation, and upgrades lock screen and Always On Display (AOD) animations for a more fluid visual experience. Additionally, it includes an updated security patch to bolster device protection.
The rollout of this update will be staggered, which means that some users might have to wait a bit for the OTA notification to pop up on their devices. In case you missed the notification or want to check if the update is available for your device or not, you can navigate to Settings > System > System update. If you wish to provide feedback on the update, you can do so by going to Settings > System > Feedback.
