Xiaomi’s Redmi Watch 4, released earlier this year, has gained an update that adds support for the Amazon Alexa voice assistant. The update (version 2.2.80) was first brought to our attention by a user on the Xiaomi subreddit.

With Alexa integration could enable Redmi Watch 4 users to perform various tasks through voice commands.  Users may be able to set timers and alarms, control compatible home automation devices, set reminders, and more.

Importantly, the discussion on Reddit suggests Alexa support on the Redmi Watch 4 may have regional restrictions. A user from the USA commented that despite receiving the update, the Alexa feature remains unavailable, prompting a message stating “not available in your region.”

To test if Alexa works on your Redmi Watch 4, update the device software and attempt to use voice commands. If you’re unable to access the feature, it’s possible Alexa is not yet supported in your location.
