ADATA has launched a new power supply named the CORE REACTOR II VE is inspired by the design of last year’s 650W CORE REACTOR II. This new power supply has three different models rated at 650W, 750W and 850W. For reference, Cooler Master’s recent ATZ ‘MAX’ case comes with a built-in power supply of the same output power.

Key details:

The CORE REACTOR II VE is measured at 140 x 150 x 86mm. This product packs 80 Plus gold certification, which means a minimum of 80% power efficiency in operation. To be more specific, this PSU is compatible with Intel’s latest ATX 3.1 design guidelines, which means a minimum of 82% efficiency at 20% load, 84% at 50% load, and 86% at 100% load. It also comes with a 12V-2×6 connector for latest graphics cards.

The XPG CORE REACTOR II VE improves efficiency with a DC-DC system that converts power directly to the required output voltage. The power supply also enhances system performance by keeping the ripple levels below 60mV at +12V and below 40mV at +5V and +3.3V.

In the event of an unwanted power shortage, the CORE REACTOR II VE can hold up the power for up to 15ms, which is Intel’s standard for uninterrupted power delivery. It ensures a stable operation in challenging situations. This power supply also offers 8 industrial protections including over-voltage (OVP), under-voltage (UVP), overcurrent protection (OCP), short circuit protection (SCP), over-power protection (OPP) and more.

For cooling, this PSU boasts a 120mm FDB fan which reportedly reaches 2400 RPM. ADATA is yet to announce the price tag of the XPG CORE REACTOR II VE PSU. We’ll update you when it happens.
