Lenovo launched its Cobalt Co-45 gaming desktop build in China on March 31 with an initial price of 3999 Yuan (~$560). The system is powered by the Intel Core i5-12400F CPU and NVIDIA GeForce 1660Ti 6GB graphics and runs Windows 11.

The CPU, i5-12400F, is a 6-core 12-thread processor which reaches 4.4 GHz turbo frequency. The base frequency of the cores (all the 6 cores here are ‘Performance-cores’) is 2.5 GHz. It comes with 18 MB L3 Intel Smart Cache and 7.5 MB L2 cache.

It is mounted on an MS-H610M 666 motherboard customized by MSI, which reportedly supports 12th and 13th-generation processors. It also comes with built-in Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2 support.

The GTX 1660Ti also reportedly offers 30% better performance as compared to the GTX 1650. This setup equips four heat pipes for sustained performance in demanding situations.

For memory and storage, it equips the Super E980 series NVME 512GB PCIe 3.0 SSD and 16GB DDR4 memory that goes up to 3200 MHz.

This build comes with the Cougar XTC500 500W power supply. Regarding the power efficiency, this PSU comes with an 80 Plus certification, which means at least 80% efficiency at 20%, 50%, and 100% loads. For cooling, it comes with a 120mm ‘silent’ fan. According to Caugar, the fan curvature of the PSU has been fine-tuned to reduce vibration at any loads, which should reduce the fan noise. The company claims a stable and reliable output power for your core hardware. This PSU reportedly offers protection against lightning or any other power surge.
