Unveiled today, the Meizu OpenBlus 2 open-ear Bluetooth headset boasts a unique design inspired by Zhuhai’s “Sun and Moon Shell” Grand Theater. The charging compartment resembles a seashell, cradling the ear hooks that connect like “golden pearls.” Crafted from a lightweight aluminum alloy, the entire headset weighs just 86 grams and is 23mm thick. Skin-friendly silicone ear hooks with inner titanium wires ensure a comfortable and secure fit.

The headset has a 16.2mm dynamic coil driver for superior quality sound

The OpenBlus 2 packs a punch with its 16.2mm dynamic coil driver, promising high amplitude and clear sound. A dynamic bass algorithm and bio-conforming diaphragm enhance the listening experience with rich bass and crisp details. Meilan’s Accurate Transmit technology focuses sound for directional listening and privacy protection.

For clear calls, the OpenBlus 2 features an omnidirectional microphone with AI noise reduction, effectively eliminating background noise. Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity ensures a stable connection with low latency, while multipoint pairing allows you to connect two devices simultaneously.

Battery life is rated at 9 hours for continuous use, and the charging case extends that to a total of 36 hours. The Meizu OpenBlus 2 is currently in pre-sale stage starting at 169 yuan ($26 USD).
