A refreshed version of the OPPO Find X7 Ultra is hitting the Chinese market in a matter of days. The Find X7 Ultra Satellite Communication version, first announced recently, features an additional satellite network option in the system settings. Information from OPPO’s JD.com self-operated store indicates that the new smartphone will officially go on sale on April 28.

OPPO Find X7 Ultra

The new OPPO Find X7 satellite network version supports China Telecom cards and Tiantong satellite special cards. Users will need to activate the direct satellite connection service of their mobile phone first before enjoying the benefits of the new smartphone.

When the phone is in satellite connection mode, airplane mode, WiFi, mobile data, NFC, global positioning and the like will be turned off. When activated, the satellite connection state allows the mobile phone to perform only two operations – dialing and sending messages.

The OPPO Find X7 Ultra satellite version features a handset mode, which allows the device to communicate efficiently in windy or turbulent wave situations. The model comes with essentially the same hardware architecture as the regular version. It has a 1440 v 3216 pixels, a 6.82-inch OLED screen. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor and a 5,000mAh battery. The smartphone supports 100W super fast charging in addition to 50W wireless flash charging.

Pricing

The satellite functionality is the major point of departure between the OPPO Find X7 satellite version and the regular version. The model is priced at 6,799 yuan ($938) and there is no global availability information yet for the product.
