The highly anticipated Sony Xperia 1 VI is back in the spotlight, this time with a leak of official promotional images courtesy of Evan Blass. These images offer a clear look at the phone’s design and confirm some previously rumored details. Just a few days ago, a new leak revealed mostly everything regarding the smartphone, check our coverage out here.

The phone retains the 3.5mm headphone jack with Hi-res audio & LDAC

The Xperia 1 VI appears to pack a 5000mAh battery for extended use. The rear camera module boasts a Zeiss T* coating to minimize reflections during photo and video capture. Audiophiles will rejoice at the phone’s retention of the 3.5mm headphone jack, along with support for Hi-Res audio and LDAC transmission for superior sound quality. Wireless charging and reverse wireless charging functionality round out the feature set.

A noticeable change from previous generations is the phone’s aspect ratio. While still adhering to Sony’s design language, the Xperia 1 VI adopts a more standard approach, sacrificing some of its prior slenderness. To avoid an in-display camera cutout, the bezels around the display are slightly wider.

Reports suggest a launch date sometime this month for the Xperia 1 VI. It’s expected to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor and boast an impressive rear camera system. The leak also hints at a simultaneous release for Sony’s other model, the Xperia 10 VI.
