Hisense Vidda has unveiled two new members of the C2 series: the C2 Ultimate Edition and C2S, both 4K three-color laser projectors. These projectors impress with their brightness. The C2 Ultimate Edition boasts a 1700 CVIA national standard brightness, while the C2S takes it a step further with 2000 CVIA. Interestingly, both are claimed to compete with projectors from other brands that have higher marked brightness ratings.
The projectors are powered by Qualas 22 lasers and are IMAX Enhanced-certified
The power behind these impressive visuals comes from Qualas 22 lasers, a 20% improvement over the previous Qualas 12. This technology is further enhanced with certifications for IMAX Enhanced and Filmmaker Mode.
C2 and C2S deliver vivid colors with 110% BT.2020 color gamut coverage and a 1700:1 contrast ratio. An AI-PQ image quality platform based on Hisense’s Xinghai large model further elevates the viewing experience. This platform incorporates a suite of features including full-dimensional AI quality screen, AI dot matrix color grading, precise light control at the 8.3 million pixel level, a DMD microsecond driver, local TMO color enhancement, and 3D-LUT with AI color balancing.
A significant upgrade from the C1 series, the C2 series boasts a new integrated gimbal for seamless 360° automatic correction. Both C2 and C2S are equipped with a MediaTek MT9679 processor for smooth operation. Connectivity is well-rounded with full HDMI 2.1 and USB 3.0 interfaces, along with Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2 support.
The Vidda C2/C2S laser projectors come with a gallium nitride adapter, JUUI 7.2 operating system, far-field voice control capabilities, and the ability to listen to music without needing the screen on.
