Xiaomi is rumored to be entering the clamshell-style foldable market with the Mix Flip. While details are scarce, the phone has reportedly been spotted on China’s 3C certification site, hinting at its imminent arrival.

The certification itself doesn’t explicitly confirm the device as the Mix Flip, but reliable industry sources have linked the model number 2405CPX3DC to the upcoming phone. More importantly, the certification reveals support for 67W fast charging.

Apart from this, the 3C listing offers no specifics on the Mix Flip’s specifications. However, its presence on the certification site confirms that Xiaomi is actively working on its first clamshell phone and its release could be on the horizon.

According to tipster Digital Chat Sation, Xiaomi may launch the Mix Flip alongside the upcoming Mix Fold 4 in the third quarter of 2024.

It is expected to come with a 50MP primary camera with optical image stabilization and an Omnivision OV60A ½.8” sensor for the 2x telephoto camera.

The device is said to have support for wireless changing, and there will also be protection against water. The latter would be a welcome feature since none of Xiaomi’s foldables have certified protection against water. At the helm, the foldable is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC.

Additionally, another report suggests that the Mix Flip will be available in various countries, including Turkey, but not in India. We’ll be sure to keep you updated on any new details about this smartphone.
