Each year, Chinese phone brands announce new smartphones, variants, and offers for the 618 (June 18) shopping festival. New phones such as the iQOO Neo 9S Pro, Oppo Reno 12 series, Honor 200 lineup, and Vivo S19 series will be unveiled just in time for the upcoming shopping festival. Today, Vivo Vice President Huang Tao took to Weibo to confirm that a low-priced variant of the Vivo X Fold 3 Pro will debut during the 618 promotion.

Vivo X Fold 3 Pro coming soon in 12GB+256GB variant

According to Tao, since its release, the Vivo X Fold 3 Pro has captured 39 percent of the market share, with a significant number of former Apple users switching to this foldable screen phone. It has garnered widespread praise from consumers, boasting a recommendation rate of 72%, making it the most popular product in the X series over the past two years.

To cater to the growing demand for foldable screen phones, Vivo has decided to launch a new 12GB+256GB version of the X Fold 3 Pro during the 618 promotion, starting at 6,999 Yuan (~$970). Tao stated that this initiative aims to make foldable flagship phones more accessible, allowing more people to experience their practical and user-friendly features. Additionally, Vivo will provide 24-month interest-free instalment plans, with daily payments as low as 9.7 yuan, making it easier for consumers to own this high-end foldable phone. Furthermore, Vivo will offer trade-in subsidies up to 1,400 yuan, with some models eligible for a 0 yuan exchange, giving consumers more options.

At present, the Vivo X Fold 3 Pro is the only Snapdragon 8 Gen 3-powered foldable phone available on the market. In China, it is available in two options, such as 16GB+512GB and 16GB+1TB for 9,999 Yuan (~$1,380) and 10,999 Yuan (~$1,520). It comes in black and white shades.
